Duty Station: Main office in Birendranagar Surkhet with frequent travels in Project Palikas of Karnali
Salary Range: NRs 70000 with attractive DSA rate during field travels.

Objective:

To ensure the quality of WASH infrastructures of the facilities constructed by SUSWA, by implementing technical quality reviews of the technical inputs/outputs

Min. qualifications:

  • B.E. in civil/mechanical engineering with min 3 years’ experience or Diploma in civil/mechanical Engineering with min. five years’ experience;
  • Extensive experience in rural water supply and sanitation infrastructures mainly on gravity fed water supply and water lifting/pumping schemes;
  • Extensive experience in community procurement rules and auditing documents and bookkeeping at community level;
  • Comfortable to walk more than a day in remote communities.

Job description:

  • Ensuring the quality of WASH infrastructures of the facilities constructed by SUSWA, by implementing technical audits and quality reviews of the technical and administrative inputs/outputs;
  • Checking compliance between technical design and procurement;
  • Checking compliance between procurement items and standards with and items delivered, in quantity and quality;
  • Checking compliance between technical design and implementation works;
  • Checking the quality of records in the SCHEME BOOK and the compliance of WUSCs bookkeeping, public hearing and transparency measures with PIM rules;
  • Monitoring and auditing the overall quality of the infrastructures built, in compliance with SUSWA and national standards;
  • Supporting on technical matter the WASH unit staffs and WUSCs during construction works.
