WASH and Resilience MER Coordinator

Purpose: 

The position holder will be responsible for implementing MER activities as per M&E framework of projects under WASH and Resilience portfolio including collection, analysis, and dissemination of activity, output and outcome level progress information and feedback from target groups and stakeholders. Besides, s/he will be required to develop, maintain and update project management information system  (MIS) by developing and using gender transformative monitoring tools. The MER Coordinator will also support to build the partners’ capacity monitoring, evaluation and research.

Term and Location: Fixed term employment till 30 June 2022 based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Master’s degree in management, social science (Research) or any relevant field
  • At least 4 years of work experience in monitoring, evaluation and research preferably related to gender transformative WASH projects
  • Experienced in synthesizing large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information and design reports for management decisions
  • Should be familiar with sampling techniques, qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and learning systems.
  • Experienced in using statistical, database software, e.g., Epi Info, Excel, Access, SPSS, SAS, and familiar with AKVO flow and/or other mobile data collection applications
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Nepali Language.
  • Experienced in humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction projects
  • Experienced in rights-based approach to development
  • Facilitating child led monitoring, evaluation or research

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out baseline/end line studies, assessment of gender equality and social inclusion, climate vulnerability and resilience analysis, sustainability compact analysis and mid-term and final evaluations.
  • Develop tools and mechanism to collect, analyse and report project progress at activity, output and outcome level
  • Collect, review and consolidate monitoring data from the field Analyse as per M&E framework and prepare and disseminate periodic progress report
  • Roll out GWMT (Gender and WASH Monitoring Tool) is to collect information related to gender in WASH through participatory process
  • Provide necessary support to partner NGOs to improve project M&E system
  • Train partner NGO staff in collecting, analysing and reporting M&E data
  • Conduct Participatory Program Reviews and reflection among project stakeholders and target communities on a periodic basis and prepare and follow up report of the reviews
  • Roll out community feedback system at project level
  • Organise Social Audits on a periodic basis
