Roles and responsibilities of this job

As a Tour Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling tour packages to individuals and groups. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for travel, and the ability to meet sales targets. The Tour Sales Representative will play a vital role in creating memorable travel experiences for clients and contributing to the overall success of the tour department.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Generation:

Proactively engage with potential clients to promote and sell tour packages.
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets by effectively presenting tour offerings and closing sales.

Product Knowledge:

Develop a deep understanding of tour products, destinations, and itineraries.
Stay informed about travel trends, new offerings, and competitor activities to provide accurate and compelling information to clients.

Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and personalized service.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Sales Process:

Guide clients through the sales process, from initial inquiry to booking confirmation.
Provide clear and detailed information on tour packages, pricing, and payment options.

Cross-Selling and Upselling:

Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional services, upgrades, or extended packages to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to stay updated on promotions, changes, and logistical details.
Work closely with the Tour Department Sales Manager to align sales efforts with overall departmental goals.

Sales Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and bookings.
Generate regular reports on sales performance for review by the sales team and management
Assisting with the visa documentation.
Providing checklist.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

A degree in tourism management or a related field is preferred.
Deep industry knowledge of travel destinations, attractions, trends, and customer preferences.
Proficiency in sales techniques, negotiation skills, CRM usage, and travel-specific marketing strategies is highly valued.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
Previous experience in customer-facing roles in travel related fields.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as social media, email marketing, SEO, and online advertising is beneficial.
Proficiency in one or more foreign languages can be advantageous for communicating with international clients.
Competence in using booking systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office is expected.
Strong networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals are important.
