Department: Multimedia / Digital Media

The Diplomat Nepal is seeking a Video / Photo Journalist to join its Multimedia / Digital Media Department on a full-time basis. The position involves covering news events, diplomatic meetings, conferences, interviews and special events, while producing professional photography and video content for print and digital platforms. The role also includes video interviews, field reporting, photo and video editing, and maintaining an organized archive of visual materials.

Key Responsibilities

Cover news events, diplomatic meetings, conferences, interviews and special events.
Capture professional photographs and video footage for print and digital platforms.
Produce short-form video content for social media and online publication.
Conduct video interviews and assist in field reporting.
Edit photographs and videos using appropriate editing software.
Maintain an organized archive of photographs and video materials.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Photography, Film/Video Production or a related field.
Strong photography and videography skills.
Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, composition and video editing.
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut or similar software will be an advantage.
Creative approach and willingness to work in the field.
Candidates with a strong portfolio will be preferred.
