Roles and responsibilities of this job

TBG Nepal is seeking an experienced and motivated Counselor - South Korea to guide students interested in pursuing higher education in the South Korea. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of South Korea universities, courses, admission procedures, application requirements and student visa processes.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students on suitable South Korea universities, courses and career pathways based on their academic background and goals.
Provide accurate information about admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, living costs and university deadlines.
Manage the complete student application process, from initial counselling through enrolment.
Assist students with university applications, personal statements, supporting documents and interview preparation.
Guide students through the South Korea student visa process and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
Maintain regular communication with students, parents, universities and institutional representatives.
Follow up with prospective students and support the conversion of enquiries into applications and enrolments.
Maintain accurate student records and update application progress in the company’s system.
Stay informed about changes to South Korea university admission policies, visa regulations and compliance requirements.
Participate in education fairs, seminars, university visits and other promotional activities.
Work closely with the admissions, documentation and marketing teams to meet organisational targets.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum of two years of professional experience working specifically as a South Korea Education Counsellor.
Practical experience handling South Korea university applications and student visa guidance.
Strong understanding of the South Korea higher education system, admission procedures and application timelines.
Good knowledge of South Korea VI requirements and current South Korea student visa procedures.
Excellent communication, counselling and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple student applications and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
Comfortable using office software, online application portals and student-management systems.
