Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Travel Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of our travel agents and tour operators. As a senior-level candidate, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Travel Agents/Tour Operators industry, with a strong understanding of the GDS system and Amadeus specifically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of travel agents and tour operators
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with hotels, airlines, and other travel service providers
  • Stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to travel agents and tour operators for complex bookings and customer inquiries
  • Conduct regular trainings to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team
  • Monitor and analyze travel booking data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet company goals and targets
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to network and gain insights into the market

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in a managerial role
  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of GDS systems, Amadeus and Travelport (Galileo, Apollo, and Worldspan)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work under pressure
