Job Description

Business Unit/Company: PBN

Department: Sales & Trade Marketing

Immediate Supervisor: Head of Sales, Nepal

Job Purpose:

The role encompasses all sales force training and development, including the field marketing teams. She/he is required to work in close collaboration with the JTI and CG Sales Management and HR Teams in developing and implementing appropriate training programs primarily for the field force of CG (JTI’s business partner in Nepal) which includes Area Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives, to optimize their functional skills and competencies, and support achievement of KPI targets. Training and development of the field marketing teams is also a key role within this position.

Key Responsibility Area (KRA):

1. Managing JTI/CG Sales Training Program:  

  • To work closely with CG Training & Development Executive in ensuring all CG/JTI field force employees are trained, assessed, evaluated and rewarded based on L.E.A.D Program structures and processes. Responsible for transforming the current sales force to become trade marketers. Also responsible for identifying high potential resources and nurturing and developing them for future positions of leadership in the organization.

2. Development of Training Plan: 

  • Work closely with all functions within sales teams (Sales Manager, ASM, SS, and SR) to understand all business processes and to define specific training needs. Develop a long term development & training plan for each Sales Team level adapted to market requirements & CG/JTI standards to improve core functional skills and competencies.  All training should support effective achievement of KPI's, sales force targets and business objectives. Consider current skills & competency level versus expected levels, and where possible ensure measureable results are identified and reported.

3. Reporting and Record Management: 

  • Regularly track of KPI achievements to assess classroom trainings and field coaching session’s direct impact on field force performances. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and summary reports on Sales Training activities and in-field results. Keep accurate databases on Assessment Forms results and Audit Forms results to determine which individuals or areas are in need of immediate training assistance and what specific sales training programs are required.

4. Development of Training Solutions: 

  • Plan and develop tools to ensure effective know-how transfer to field force and regular update learning systems (e.g. Salesforce manuals, knowledge tests, online trainings, field coaching forms, field and trade audit forms, training logs). Regularly update and create new content of trainings material and training tools to meet the ever changing business needs. When required, travel to other JTI markets to identify training solutions which may be utilized in the case of Nepal.

5. Identify Additional Training Requirements: 

  • Perform regular field visits to understand market specifics and trends, competitor practices, customer and consumer behavior and to assess field force performance. Prepare summary reports after those visits highlighting development needs and best practices related to JTI execution and competitor activities. Modify and adjust training plan and training plan based on new requirement identification.

6. Working with CG Partners: 

  • Actively support and participate in the introduction of JTI best practice in Sales Training utilizing solutions from other markets. Work closely with CG Sales Training & Development Executive to develop specific training programs and solutions for Nepal.
