Trainee Sub-engineer

Purpose :
Provide professional work exposure to the fresh graduates by providing guided work opportunities from the senior staff of TBSU and LRBSU. Get hands-on skill on trail bridge and motorable bridge survey, design, investigation, construction and have exposure in the field.

Qualification : Fresh Graduates of Diploma in Civil Engineering with keen learning attitude, sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards multicultural environment. No prior job experience required.

Duration : 9 months
Duty station : Provincial offices of TBSU and LRBSU with frequent travel to the field (70%). Deputation to the provincial offices will be as per the same origin province of the selected candidates and/or as per the requirements of the projects.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

The Trainee Sub-engineer will acquire in depth knowledge, skills and experience in trail bridge and motorable bridge building and s/he will be responsible to assist TBSU and LRBSU staff for: ensuring that local and provincial governments construct trail and motorable bridges respectively as per their constitutional mandates
supporting provincial partners by co-working to provide technical assistance to the respective local and provincial governments planning, budgeting, survey, design, estimate, construction, monitoring and supervision, quality control and quality assurance of trail and motorable bridges

It is mandatory for the selected trainees to complete the full traineeship programme.
