Education & Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree, preferred a Masters graduated.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Logistics, Warehousing, Purchasing, Ordering, Supply Chain Administration, or overall Supply Chain Management within a reputed organization.
  • Retail sector experience is highly preferred, especially in high-volume operational settings.
  • Proven experience in the handling of diverse material types, including Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (FF&V), Chilled & Cold Storage (CCS), and Ambient goods.
  • The most recent position must involve managerial or supervisory responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and oversee operational execution.
  • Proven exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes, vendor coordination, inventory flow, and warehouse operations.

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with leading Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated leadership potential with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • People Management: Proven interpersonal and team management skills, ideally developed through prior roles with leadership responsibilities.
  • Flexibility & Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively and relocate as needed across various locations in Nepal to support operational requirements.
  • Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, essential for coordination across teams and departments.

Job Description

Reporting to: SCM Manager
Location: Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Chitwan (ready to be placed anywhere in Nepal)

Job Purpose:

To support and oversee daily Supply Chain Management operations, ensuring efficient execution in warehousing, distribution, stock control, and workforce management. The Trainee Assistant Manager – SCM acts as a crucial link between Head Office strategies and ground-level implementation, managing assigned sites through warehouse operations, process improvement, team development, and performance monitoring. The role emphasizes system-driven practices, warehouse efficiency, strict stock control, cost management, and budget compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement through feedback and disciplined oversight.

Key Responsibilities Areas:

  • Leads the assigned Warehouses under the SCM Department, taking responsibility for complete day to day operations.
  • Will act as a bridge between SCM HO and ground teams by being highly mobile with daily WH and store visits.
  • Executes the SCM Targeted Initiatives at ground level, driven by 100% achievement of set indices.
  • Ensures proper training and development of all the warehouse staff, preparing the SCM department for future turnovers and movement.
  • Ensures strict control of the stock movement, ensures 100% stock accuracy, and ensures inventory management best practices are implemented across all the levels of warehouse(s).
  • Leads the communication with all the internal and external liaisons and ensures the information flow is happening in a timely manner.
  • Will take direct responsibility for all inbound & put ways, picking & allocations, dispatches & fleet maintenance, daily targets, L&D initiatives, stock integrity, and facility management.
  • Ensures Inventory turnovers are met with proper aging, circulation, rebalances, and allocations within the assigned sites.
