Trainee - Admin & Finance

Location- Habitat Nepal East Field Office, Bardibas
Duration- Initially for 6 months (to be extended based on performance)
This position is based in Field Office Bardibas under direct supervision of Finance and Admin Coordinator -East

Position Summary

  • Assist with its routine and daily operations in finance, administration, logistics and store keeping tasks. 
  • Support partners for their financial management.
  • This position will work under the direct supervision of the Finance and Admin Coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing all payment requests and disbursement of funds.
  • Maintain adequate filing system of financial documents in collaboration with finance team.
  • Assist in store management and Maintain office inventory by recording supplies and equipment received and dispensed in field and each partner.
  • Support for staff travel settlement and advance request.
  • Support in organizing internal and external meetings and workshops.
  • Support with travel arrangement and Vehicle management as necessary.
  • Assist to FAC for logistic management including fleet management
  • Provide general administrative support on Handling phone calls, External guest, Office management and supervise the office attendant
  • Assist Finance & Admin Coordinator for partner’s expenditure verification and coach to implement finance as per the policy and procedures.
  • Handle Petty cash and maintain its documentation as per organization’s policy
  • Track staff movement, regular update on dashboard and maintain in attendance device and send report to center admin team
  • Support in procurement process, collecting bid, Maintaining register etc.
  • Other finance-administrative work as required or needed.

Minimum qualification and selection criteria and requirements

  • Graduate in Management Studies or relevant discipline is required.
  • Freshers are encouraged to apply. Prior work experience is not necessary however local residents or those residing in nearby suburbs are preferred.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn.
  • Two-wheeler vehicle driving skill and having driving license.
  • A strong team player who is committed to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Has good communication skills in English and Nepali.
  • Has basic computer skills.
  • Good knowledge about local language, preference will be given to local candidate.
