Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Ticketing Officer for our well established Travel Company. The candidate will be responsible for co-coordinating with the customers and arranging their travel tickets. The candidate needs to have finely-tuned customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner.

  • Confer with customers to determine their service requirements and travel preferences. Discuss our services and give well-informed and appropriate advice to customers
  • Inform customers about essential travel information, such as travel times, transportation connections, medical and passport, visa and insurance requirements
  • Provide customers with travel suggestions and information sources, such as guides, directories, brochures, and maps
  • Explain travel regulations, policies, or procedures. Provide customers with assistance in preparing required travel documents and paperwork
  • Make travel arrangement for customers and confirm reservations using a booking system. Determine whether space is available on travel dates requested by customers,assigning requested spaces when available
  • Examine the customer’s documents. Assemble and issue required documentation, such as tickets, travel insurance policies etc
  • Answer inquiries regarding information such as schedules, availability, procedures, and policies.
  • Plan travel route details, and compute fares and fees, using schedules, rate books, and computers
  • Send out tickets to customers. Prepare customer invoices. Collect and process payments, deposits or fees
  • Keep the customers up to date with any changes. Provide notifications to customers or travel agents to advise them of travel conveyance changes or to confirm reservations
  • Deal with customer complaints or refunds. Take feedback from the customers
  • Compile data or documentation. Maintain computerized inventory records
  • Provide ticketing services and answer queries through direct customer interaction or through telephones, e-mail and third parties
  • Promote our products, services, or programs. Provide information about current travel trends and suggestions on business improvement
  • Coordinate with our business partners and travel agents and maintain a good relation with them
  • Contact travel operators, airlines etc. to obtain current advertising literature
  • Some travel may be required
