FGN’s current program focuses on supporting the Government of Nepal in implementing national Child Protection Policies, particularly the Deinstitutionalization of children from abusive institutions. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

In partnership with Alternatives To Separation (ATOS) and with funding support from the Civil Society Fund, Denmark, Future Generation Nepal (FGN) is set to implement the "Local Child Protection Project-LCP" within the Raksirang Rural Municipality of Makawanpur District.

As the Project Coordinator, your role will be pivotal in the implementation of the "Local Child Protection Project-LCP" with the following key responsibilities:

  • Taking the lead in the implementation of the "Local Child Protection Project-LCP" in collaboration with the Raksirang Rural Municipality and FGN's team.
  • Establishing connections with stakeholders and actively engaging with project beneficiaries to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Cooperating with the Local Child Protection Committee and community leaders to enhance the local child protection system.
  • Collaborating with various local entities, including authorities, child clubs, community members, educators, and social activists to promote the rights of the children and advocate for family-based care.
  • Arranging training sessions, orientations, and interactive events to strengthen the local child protection system.
  • Supporting the municipal government and ward government on capacity building of duty bearers and local child protection committee members and facilitating in formation of the committees.
  • Assisting the supervisor in developing strategies, designing operational plans, and staying well-informed about development trends to enhance project management efficiency and delivery.
  •  Planning of monthly activities and the operational budget to ensure timely and efficient implementation of the project.
  •  Regularly updating and reporting project activities, progress, and results to the Line Manager.
  • Offering recommendations to optimize project implementation and effectiveness.
  •  Undertaking any other relevant duties crucial for the success of the project.
