Technical Writer

RV LIFE is currently looking for a Technical Writer  to join our fun and friendly team. As a Technical Writer, you are an advocate for the customer. You simplify highly technical concepts, both on the user interface and in the technical documentation. You provide easy-to-follow guides to assist end users and contribute to UI improvements that make our software easier to use.

You will begin by rewriting our existing user guides.  Over time, you will work with all the stakeholders in the development process: designers, software engineers, product owners, support agents, and even company executives. Balancing their needs, communicating, and collaborating are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of this position.

We need someone who can:

• Write American English at a native or native-like level
• Understand complex concepts quickly and explain them simply
• Write the needs of our users and adhere to a style guide
• Write concise, clear, friendly documentation and UX copy
• Work well with our diverse team in a multicultural environment
• Provide clean, actionable feedback to design and product teams
• Prioritize customer pain points based on input gathered from many different sources (support tickets, internal feedback, app store reviews, etc.)
• Map out and create how-tos for personas based on the most common scenarios experience in our platform

• Experience with tools and content architecture
• Experience with collaborative writing
• The ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
