  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, civil or mechanical engineering; or other related engineering fields with at least five years relevant professional experience; and 3 years for Master’s degree holders in a similar project environment is required.

Preference would be given to

  • Experience in understanding the other cross-cutting and policy issues relating to energy’s linkages with all dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.
  • Successful demonstration of proposal development skills related to the energy sector.
  • Experience working on Technical Assistance (TA) programs aimed at strengthening government counterparts' capabilities.

Job Description

  • Conduct technical analysis and assessments related to the power sector, including reviewing, and preparing feasibility studies for energy sector projects. Additionally, prepare technical assessment reports, presentations, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with government entities, development partners, and stakeholders to gather and analyze technical data and information. Identify key stakeholders and build trust-based relationships for effective engagement, including regulators, government officials, private sector professionals, and development partners.
  • Provide inputs to design and develop analytical studies and technical reports; share key findings through reports, workshops, and presentations for high-level stakeholders.
  • Compile relevant information and synthesize clear takeaways using both qualitative and quantitative methods. These insights will inform the Project Manager and VRock management in shaping the organization’s management and development advisory services.
  • Assist in designing innovative concepts and applying for project proposals, leveraging technical expertise to develop compelling project ideas and contribute to proposal development processes.
  • Provide timely updates on delegated responsibilities to the project manager, including preparing progress reports, status updates, and evidence of achieved milestones aligned with program objectives and milestones.
  • Coordinate with sectoral experts, senior consultants, and VRock team members to define quantitative and qualitative indicators, parameters, and tools for effectively monitoring and evaluating project targets and program objectives.
  • Offer operational support for travel and field-based activities, while also performing other tasks as assigned by the project manager and VRock management.
