Oxfam has been working in Nepal since the early 1980s undertaking various development initiatives addressing the poverty and injustice faced by the population, especially women and other socially and economically excluded groups. Location: Kathmandu

 

Job Role: In line with Oxfam's strategic plans and policy guidelines, under the overall supervision of Program Director, Sustainable Development Program director and under the direct supervision and leadership of the DRR and Climate Change Adaptation Programme Manager, the position holder will be responsible for leading, coordinating and managing Oxfam GB Nepal’s Water Governance (Trans Boundary Rivers of South Asia- TROSA) Program.

This position holder will coordinate the work delivered by Oxfam and affiliate staffs and will manage project staff, develop and maintain relationships with project partners at local, national and regional level, external stakeholders and ensure close coordination with the other lead agencies within and outside the national boundary in the water governance issue. S/he will play an important role in coordinating and interacting with internal departments and functions and with Oxfam affiliates for dialogues and learning sharing.

The position will play a lead role in project and budget planning, oversight and monitoring; ensuring the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) framework is embedded in the project cycle; grant and contract management; and strategic external engagement with stakeholders.
