The Team Leader -FP/RH & ASRH is responsible to support overall activities in Nepal implemented through USAID-funded R4S. The person will be also responsible to coordinate with the Family Health Division (FWD), Nepal Health Research Counsel (NHRC) and Viamo Nepal team and other stakeholders working in FP and reproductive health (RH) sector in Nepal for implementation of R4S activities and provide necessary country specific intel to R4S. The person is also expected to provide necessary technical and management support to the USAID-funded Momentum Private Healthcare Delivery (MPHD) project activities in Nepal in coordination with other project staff including government stakeholders and private sectors and ensure timely implementation of all activities related to MPHD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a focal person to lead all activities related to R4S in Nepal in coordination with the R4S team, FHI 360 Nepal County Office Nepal including government and other stakeholders.
- Support to R4S by providing necessary country specific intel and ensure implementation of all R4S related activities in Nepal in a timely manner.
- Manage local consultants as required who will be engaged in implementing R4S activities in Nepal including regular monitoring of their assigned tasks and ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
- Support for in- country level coordination with different actors for R4S specific activities such as FWD, NHRC, Viamo Nepal team including other stakeholders.
- Facilitate dissemination of research findings or organizing the interpretation workshop with all relevant stakeholders and partners in Nepal in consultation with R4S.
- Provide technical inputs in developing the research protocol, data collection instruments and other documentation related to R4S as and when required.
- Facilitate research utilization process in Nepal with the technical guidance from R4S and in consultation with the government stakeholders and other actors.
- Provide technical support for implementation of overall project activities related to MPHD in Nepal in line with the USAID approved work plan.
- Support for capacity enhancement of private healthcare providers to deliver evidence-based healthcare for improving Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) and FP/RH services in coordination with Nepal CRS Company.
- Support in expanding the public private partnership for improving the enabling environment for quality delivery of MNCH and FP/RH services.
- Contribute in developing the necessary guideline/protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including quality improvement framework and its implementation particularly for private healthcare delivery in coordination with other project staff and Nepal CRS Company.
- Represent FHI 360 as required in the external meetings among the stakeholders.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality program reports, monthly updates, technical brief and other necessary documents in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Country Representative.
