Job Description

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all activities associated with the preparation for, building, management and maintenance of and impact analysis of Hello World Hubs in Nepal. This includes staff and task management as well as logistical planning and oversight on the project delivery and future development.

Responsibilities

The Team  Leader will take the lead role in the execution of the following responsibilities;

  • Deliver Hub building projects according to timelines and tasks as outlined by CEO and COO of Hello World.
  • Management of local staff working with Hello World in Hub building and in maintenance and management after builds where relevant.
  • Liaison with suppliers and organisation of storage, packing, equipment and transport of hardware.
  • Organisation of accommodation, food and transport for local and UK staff in Nepal.
  • Community liaison in Hub communities and prospective Hub communities.
  • Collection of phone numbers and delivery of required elements of impact analysis as agreed with the COO.
  • Management of Hub Mother programme trial.
  • Coordination of Hub maintenance and regular communication with Hub communities.
  • Preparation for future Hub building.

Person Specification

We need people willing to share what they know and learn as they go - not afraid to take a step back and think around a problem. We’re looking for an expert with drive and heart. And we need someone who can do all those things, in some of the hardest places in the world, and still have a lot of fun. Here are some of the main skills you’ll need to have: 

  • Fast learner who can self-manage
  • Works on schedule.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
  • Is friendly, confident, and patient with others.
  • Is willing to teach adults and children, often with no technology experience or literacy at all.
  • Has 3+ years of community work experience.
