Position Overview:

Teaching Assistant/Assistant Lecturer provides support to a lead teacher in charge of a classroom. S/he will be responsible in reinforcing lessons by tutoring student in individual or small groups. S/he engages in creating lesson plans, overseeing lesson preparations and will engage students in case-studies, group discussion, presentation, seminar/ workshops, project and internship works. S/he contributes to the scholarly works by participating in seminars and workshops with research reports and papers. S/he will also work as advisory to the student club. 

Key roles:

• Attend formal and informal meetings with faculty/department to contribute to planning lessons/ activities.
• Implement planned learning activities/ teaching programs as agreed with the faculty, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. 
• Supervise and assist individual/small groups of students in activities set by faculty or department.
• Keep into account the students’ special needs and ensure their access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, materials and tutoring. 
• Develop the students’ confidence and enhance self-esteem and actively seek to promote the academic, social and emotional welfare of students.
• Support learning by arranging /providing resources for lessons/ activities under the direction of the faculty. 
• Act as advisory to the respective club and motivate students to conduct and join desired activities.
• Involve in keeping records and evaluating identified students’ progress with faculty, department and parents. 
• Conduct regular assessment of students.

Duty Station:

The duty station is Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, Balkumari, Lalitpur.
