  • Knowledge in teaching others in tailoring.
  • English knowledge is an advantage but not a must as you will work for a Swiss NGO.
  • Professional knowledge in tailoring all kind of garments.
  • Very good knowledge in pattern making in all kind of patterns.
  • Very good knowledge in fabrics.
  • Independent and brings his or her own ideas on the table.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Patient.


Job Description

  • Provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching, use of basic patterns for clothing items, means for mending damaged clothing and other alterations, basic machine use, and basic machine maintenance
  • Develop lesson plans and organizes daily classes so that demonstration, instruction, and practice can be completed during the training period
  • Regularly assess progress and adapt curriculum to best suit the needs and capabilities of the attendee
  • Maintain a record of attendee attendance and provide reports to project manager
  • Evaluate each attendee performance, knowledge, and skills in the respective course being taught; conduct regular assessments and prepare progress reports
  • Evaluate, select, and requisition books, instructional aids, equipment, and instructional supplies and maintains required inventory records
  • Participate in team meetings to help improve learning quality for attendees and to support them with various activities
