Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching, use of basic patterns for clothing items, means for mending damaged clothing and other alterations, basic machine use, and basic machine maintenance
Develop lesson plans and organizes daily classes so that demonstration, instruction, and practice can be completed during the training period
Regularly assess progress and adapt curriculum to best suit the needs and capabilities of the attendee
Maintain a record of attendee attendance and provide reports to project manager
Evaluate each attendee performance, knowledge, and skills in the respective course being taught; conduct regular assessments and prepare progress reports
Evaluate, select, and requisition books, instructional aids, equipment, and instructional supplies and maintains required inventory records
Participate in team meetings to help improve learning quality for attendees and to support them with various activities

Knowledge in teaching others in tailoring.
English knowledge is an advantage but not a must as you will work for a Swiss NGO.
Professional knowledge in tailoring all kind of garments.
Very good knowledge in pattern making in all kind of patterns.
Very good knowledge in fabrics.
Independent and brings his or her own ideas on the table.
Trustworthy and reliable.
