The facilitator must go beyond technical teaching, working simultaneously across experiential, reflective, and practical dimensions.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Technical Tailoring Instruction

  • Teach basic to intermediate tailoring techniques.
  • Guide learners in the safe use of machines, tools, and materials.
  • Support the development of prototypes and small production tasks.
  • Introduce basic quality control and finishing techniques.

2. Empowerment & Group Facilitation

  • Lead group-building activities, confidence exercises, collective tasks and reflection circles.
  • Encourage participation, initiative, and shared responsibility.
  • Foster cooperation, peer learning, and a safe environment for all women.

3. Project Definition & Co-Creation

  • Guide the group in defining their own learning plan, materials list, and course structure.
  • Facilitate budgeting sessions, planning tasks, and collective decision-making.
  • Help women understand how to organise work and manage small projects.

4. Digital Literacy & Communication

  • Support simple digital tasks (Google Drive, photos, basic writing).
  • Supervise the creation of bios, motivation texts, group videos and photo documentation.
  • “Project presentation” with the women.

5. Experiential & Exposure Learning

  • Organise short visits to local tailoring workshops, markets, or women-led initiatives.
  • Integrate real-life examples into lessons.
  • Encourage curiosity and practical observation.

6. Mentoring Support

  • Participate in monthly individual mentoring sessions (30 minutes per woman).
  • Provide constructive guidance on challenges, progress, and future steps.
