Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Oversee the installation of hardware and software, followed by policy creation, testing and successful implementation
Be responsible for running the technology infrastructures of the organization while also contributing to organizational policy quality standards and strategic planning in IT
Understanding the existing systems and keeping track of all IT related properties
Recording all existing passwords, systems, software's, backup procedures
Keeping up to date record of all IT related equipment's, goods and accessories
Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems
Making sure that email, internet, networking, software, hardware plus other power backup facilities are working perfectly
Researching and installing new systems which is relevant to the organization
Router and Switch configuration, auditing of IP addresses, arranging scheduled upgrades, investigating faults in the network, improving the efficiency of current networks, upgrades to network equipment and data servers, designing and implementing new network solutions, linking with service engineers and project managers and solve network problems and maximize network performance
Coordinate, oversee and execute installations and changes to the Network Infrastructure and system engineering and implementation activities, including upgrade and enhancements
Maintaining IT security systems and administering firewalls – develop firewall policies and rule sets based on business requirements for new firewall implementations in accordance with company standards
Monitor day-to-day operations and management for company Network infrastructure
Configure, Troubleshoot & Maintain Company LAN and DC interconnect WAN Networks
Undertake Network protocol configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
Identify opportunities and develop solutions to automate and improve efficiency of overall network infrastructure and also SAP environment
Develop and maintain effective working relationship with SAP Application providers
Implementation and proper operations of SAP software by following up with every department on the progress & usage of SAP
Support and solve operational issues & problems related to SAP post implementation
Must have excellent communication skills, as Network Engineers must be in constant communication with all departments of the company, external partner companies, and report to the management. Able to communicate information confidently, clearly, and professionally
Responsible for maintaining high level of employee morale, competence, a favorable working environment and creating opportunities for personnel development within the department
Maintain corporate culture, discipline and effective communication within department and throughout the organization
Reduces the operation cost and increases productivity in the department
Any other duties, responsibilities and authorities as assigned by HOD

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

System & Networking Assistant requires an education of Bachelor’s in Computer Science or engineering (Such as BIT/B.E in Computer Engineering) with minimum 3 years of working experience
Complete command over network setup and maintenance including executing virtualization, software installation on server and subsequent operation and maintenance
Knowledge of and experience utilizing central servers/rack servers, firewalls, switching devices,
Think Clients and other related hardware

Requirements:

Excellent written and communication skill
Fluent in spoken & written English with good oratory skills
Willing to work during odd hours and even during holidays (when necessary)

NOTE: Since the systems are critical to the company and at the heart of our operations, and the position is for the personnel who shall be handed great responsibilities - candidates must demonstrate good character and long term prospects.

They must cooperate with thorough background checks and also be willing to provide, at a minimum, a 5 year commitment to the company. This is to ensure that effective use is made of the training and investment the company will make into the selected candidate, and for continuity in a critical department
They are responsible to train their replacement with 30 days prior notice period - in the case of departure from the company
Must present two professional references
