Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System and Network Administrator to join Endeavor Nepal Pvt. Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and enhance enterprise IT infrastructure, work with advanced technologies, and take ownership of critical systems in a professional and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems Administration:

Deploy, install, configure, and maintain servers in both physical and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix).
Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including domain controllers, clustering, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
Manage NAS/SAN storage solutions and perform routine system backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
Conduct system upgrades, patch management, and performance optimization activities.

Network & Security Management:

Configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and port security.
Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and internet security solutions.
Apply advanced networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, subnetting, OSPF, static/default routing, BGP, LACP, and bandwidth shaping.
Enforce cybersecurity practices, including firewall policies, endpoint protection, MFA, conditional access, and monitoring.

Cloud, Collaboration & Endpoint Management:

Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD Connect.
Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune, Autopilot policies, and endpoint compliance solutions.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco VoIP phones and Teams telephony solutions.
Provide advanced remote desktop and endpoint troubleshooting for Windows and macOS environments.

Automation, Monitoring & DevOps:

Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools.
Monitor systems and networks using RMM and monitoring tools; review logs and ensure system integrity and uptime.
Support DevOps workflows and automation using tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Ansible.

Database & Application Support:

Support MySQL and MS SQL Server environments.
Assist in Oracle-based application environments and UNIX platform operations where applicable.

Operations & Documentation:

Provide end-user and technical support. including VPN access, account management, and network troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate documentation of system architecture, SOPs, and best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and ensure operational excellence.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (BE/BIT/BIM/BCA/BCIS)

Experience required:

Mid Level :

2+ years of experience: System/network administration with hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Linux basics, virtualization, networking fundamentals, and enterprise backup solutions
Certifications (minimum expected): MCSA / RHCSA / CCNA or equivalent

Senior Level:

3–5+ years of experience: Advanced expertise in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, security hardening, automation, and high-availability systems
Preferred Certifications: RHCE, CCNP, MCSE, Azure/AWS Cloud Engineer, DevOps-related certifications

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, security hardening, automation, and high-availability architecture.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible) is an advantage.
Knowledge of database administration and enterprise backup strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
