Position: Subcontracts/Grants Compliance Specialist

Position Responsibilities  

• Manage the grant making/subcontracting process including performing a past performance review, conducting elements of pre-award survey (as required)
• Be responsible for Grant and/or Subcontract Solicitations or advertisement of expression of interest from the potential organizations. Sorting, file, track, and log applications received in response to Expression of Interest and/or grant solicitations
• Process all necessary documentations/papers, certifications, and forms required under the regulation to awarding a grant or subcontracting to a selected applicant, including Program Descriptions with clearly established goals
• Provide training to and work with technical staff to develop criteria to assess grantees’ performance. 
• In collaboration with the relevant technical staff; monitor the status of Subcontract expenditures.
• In collaboration with the DCOP and technical staff, create a grant management plan and oversee the plan over the life of the project
• In collaboration with DCOP and technical staff, identify areas in which grantees could receive targeted capacity building from the project
• Ensure that all procurement processes are followed according to USAID and Abt standards

Qualifications 

• A Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, in Business, Management, Finance or other related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Grants/Subcontracts Management
• USAID project experience is a plus
• Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and self-manage
