Department: Editorial

The Diplomat Nepal, Nepal’s first dedicated diplomatic magazine and media platform, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sub-Editor to edit and proofread news, features, interviews, and analytical content while ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency across digital and magazine platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Edit and proofread news stories, features, interviews and analytical articles.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, structure and consistency of published content.
Coordinate with reporters, correspondents and contributors.
Develop headlines, introductions and story angles.
Support the Editor in planning daily digital and magazine content.
Cover and edit content related to diplomacy, foreign affairs, international relations and national affairs.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:Not Required

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English or a related field.
Prior experience in journalism, editing or digital media will be an advantage.
Excellent English writing and editing skills.
Strong knowledge of current affairs, diplomacy and international relations.
Ability to work under deadlines.
