Job Description

Department: Student Affairs / Student Services
Reports to: Director of Student Services

Position Overview:

The Student Services Officer is responsible for supporting the academic, personal, and social development of students. This role involves delivering high-quality services including student advising, support for student engagement programs, and assistance with administrative processes to ensure a positive student experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries and concerns, offering guidance or referrals as appropriate.
  • Support students in understanding academic requirements, registration processes, and institutional policies.
  • Plan, promote, and coordinate student events, orientation programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, counseling services, and other support units to ensure a holistic student support system.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and generate regular reports for senior management.
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures that enhance student life and services.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and student engagement on campus.
  • Respond to and manage critical student issues or crises with discretion and empathy.
  • Support international students with visa, housing, and adaptation matters (if applicable).
  • Coordinate student feedback mechanisms and participate in continuous improvement efforts
