International Center for Academics (ICA) was established in 1997 and has been providing educational services to the nation since then. It is the pioneer Institution of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Nepal. It is also the only educational institution from Nepal to become the member of Asian Association of Open Universities. It has been providing internationally acclaimed degrees through the ODL Mode of education in Nepal. The learners enrolled in ICA are working professionals from diverse fields such as Hospitality industry, Financial Institutions, Telecommunication, Corporate Houses, Embassies and Diplomatic agencies etc.

Job Description

The responsibilities outlined involve managing various administrative, promotional, and support functions for an educational organization.

  • Enquiry Handling & Counseling: Provide detailed information about the university, programs, admission procedures, fees, and academic structure through personal visits, phone, email, and mass counseling sessions.
  • Student Support: Assist with registration status, academic activities, and learning advice.
  • Logistics & Events: Organize induction meetings and manage necessary arrangements.
  • Database & Record Keeping: Maintain records of telephonic inquiries and advertisements published in newspapers.
  • Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional strategies, focusing on admissions through advertisements.
  • Admission & Re-registration: Assist with filling, verifying, and updating admission and re-registration forms in software; prepare lists for re-registration, term-end exams (TEE), and assignments.
  • Communication: Notify learners about registration, TEE, and assignments via email, SMS, and calls; communicate with the university as needed.
  • Discrepancy Management: Resolve issues related to admissions, re-registration, documentation, and subjects.
  • Form & Template Management: Verify and forward forms, design new forms, update brochures, and revise program templates as required.
  • Online Support: Provide support via social media platforms like Facebook and Skype during office hours.
  • Administrative Tasks: Update contact details in software, process migration, credit transfer, and re-admission forms, and verify documents.
  • Supervision & Reporting: Assign tasks to subordinates, supervise their work, collect reports, and provide updates to department head on admissions, re-registrations, inquiries, and other activities.
