Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a motivated Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in hydropower design.

Qualification and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering with at least 2 years of working experience in the design of hydropower structures.
Experience in detailed Structural Analysis and design of Hydraulic Structures of at least one hydropower project
Registered/Licensed as a professional engineer.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis software such as SAP2000, Staad-Pro, SAFE, etc.
Strong Knowledge of different codes regulations, and advancements in structural engineering.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculation and design.
Excellent Report writing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good and quick learning attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Structural design and analysis and prepare structural drawings of projects independently.
Responsible for the overall design and engineering of structural systems from the preliminary phase through construction.
Conduct stability and stress analysis and design of Hydraulic Structures including, weir, barrage, dams, intake, canal, desander, anchor block, surge tank, powerhouse, river training works etc.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Assisting other members of the company with various elements of structural design and drawings.
Preparing structural drawings, specifications, and design reports.
Utilize advanced software tools for structural modelling, analysis, and design.
