Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced social media and communications manager to join the Embassy team as a Strategic Communications Officer and to support the team which manages the Australian Aid program.  You’ll be responsible for working with Embassy staff and our development partners to create content for the Embassy's social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.  You’ll also prepare speeches and media releases, and assist the team in managing a small portfolio of Australian Aid development programs.

This role will require you to:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote Australia’s engagement in Nepal
  • Work with Embassy staff and our development partners (INGOs, NGOs, international organisations and others) to develop social media content, consistent with our values
  • Manage all social platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Assist in the management of development programs
