Roles and responsibilities of this job

Nilaya Jewels is looking for a creative, responsible and customer-focused individual to join our team. We want someone who enjoys jewellery, understands social media trends and can maintain a beautiful retail store while helping grow our brand online.

This is a hands-on role combining retail store management, customer sales, content creation and social media growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Management & Maintenance

Maintain the store’s cleanliness, organisation and overall presentation.
Arrange jewellery displays and ensure products are presented attractively.
Maintain accurate inventory, stock records and daily sales records.
Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or fast-selling items.
Ensure jewellery is handled, stored and displayed securely.
Open and close the store according to the assigned schedule and follow store procedures.

2. Sales & Customer Service

Welcome customers and help them select suitable jewellery.
Explain product features, pricing and care instructions accurately.
Handle customer enquiries through Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and phone.
Follow up with interested customers and convert enquiries into sales.
Assist with packaging, order preparation, deliveries and after-sales service.
Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.

3. Social Media & Content Creation

Create and post engaging Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, Stories and product posts.
Film jewellery showcases, styling videos, new arrivals, product comparisons and behind-the-scenes content.
Appear on camera when required and confidently present products.
Edit videos using CapCut or similar applications.
Write captions, select suitable audio, respond to comments and maintain a consistent brand image.
Follow jewellery, fashion and social media trends and propose creative content ideas.

4. Branding & Business Growth

Assist in launching new jewellery collections and promoting bestsellers.
Suggest new products, display ideas, promotions and customer engagement activities.
Collect customer feedback and identify popular designs and customer preferences.
Track content performance, enquiries, conversions and sales.
Submit daily updates and a weekly performance report to management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
Interest in jewellery, fashion, styling and retail.
Comfortable creating short-form videos and appearing on camera.
Basic video editing skills using CapCut or similar apps.
Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp Business.
Honest, organised, punctual and attentive to detail.
Able to manage a physical store while consistently completing social media tasks.
Prior experience in retail sales, jewellery, fashion or content creation is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Location: Nilaya Jewels, Kathmandu, Nepal
Employment type: Full-time, on-site
Working hours: As per the store’s assigned schedule
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and skills
Incentives: Performance-based incentives may be offered for sales and content performance.

We are not simply looking for someone to sit at the store and wait for customers. We want someone who can maintain the store beautifully, sell confidently, create engaging content and take an active role in building Nilaya Jewels into a recognised jewellery brand.
