Job Description

  • Creating employee schedules, assigning schedules and responsibilities to employees, checking to see if these responsibilities and assignments are carried through in the store
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • To ensure accurate accounting of the materials/Equipment received and issued
  • To investigate, identify and reconcile the physical cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as surpluses
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols including loss prevention through theft and breakage.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors
  • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices
  • Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability
  • To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc. by using appropriate method of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency 
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
  • Receive feedback from the clients, suppliers & management and monitor the quality of services provided
  • Create and affix warehouse labels 
  • To ensure that the store is always maintained up to date in all respects in a presentable condition
  • Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, or career development.
