Job Description

The Store Manager is responsible for the strategic management and supervision of all store operations at the factory level. This includes ensuring accurate inventory control, timely procurement coordination, efficient goods receipt and issuance, and maintaining a safe, well-organized storage facility. The role requires strong leadership to oversee storekeepers and helpers, implement store policies, and support internal departments with seamless materials supply for uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the entire store team, including storekeepers and helpers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory management systems, ensuring real-time stock updates and proper documentation.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality and quantity specifications.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate issuance of materials to relevant departments, maintaining control over inventory movement.
  • Organize inventory systematically with optimal space utilization, ensuring clear labeling and adherence to FIFO principles.
  • Plan and conduct periodic physical stock audits and reconcile system records with actual stock levels.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and production departments to forecast stock requirements and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage minimum/maximum inventory thresholds to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit comprehensive reports on inventory status, discrepancies, consumption trends, and improvements.
  • Enforce compliance with safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and company policies within the store area.
  • Address and resolve any store-related issues, delays, or concerns raised by internal departments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Train and motivate store staff, promoting a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
