Job Description

  • Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile them with purchase orders.
  • Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.
  • Exercise general control over all activities in the Stores Department.
  • Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.
  • Check and receive purchased materials forwarded by the receiving department and arrange for storage in appropriate places.
  • Issue materials only in required quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists.
  • Responsible for labeling, returning supplies, and stock rotation.
  • Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, withdrawals, and inventory.
  • Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the facility's inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items.
