Job Description

The Accountant/ Store Incharge will play a crucial role in managing both financial and inventory functions. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining detailed records, and overseeing inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and experience in store operations, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transactions, journal entries, and general ledger updates.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and handle customer billing. Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate and analyze reports to support management decisions.
  • Budget Management: Monitor budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial plans. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Tax and Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash handling procedures, including petty cash, bank deposits, and reconciliations.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee the entire inventory process, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing goods. Maintain optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess.
  • Stock Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock records and identify discrepancies. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate terms, manage orders, and resolve any issues related to deliveries or quality.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the store is organized, clean, and operationally efficient. Implement and enforce store policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments. Prepare reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.
