Population Services International/Nepal (PSI/Nepal) began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector, and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. PSI/Nepal has been capacitating private sector health services delivery system since last two decades and in parallel providing technical assistance to strengthen public health facilities to deliver primary health care and increase access to family planning and reproductive health services. PSI/Nepal with its expertise and experience in social and behavior change communication, clinical quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and digital health interventions focuses on designing client centered health care projects to address reproductive health challenges affecting women of reproductive age. With an emphasis on consumer powered health care, PSI/Nepal invests in improving health care market for product and services, and develop solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality. In the past, PSI/Nepal has successfully managed HIV, malaria, menstrual hygiene management and health and hygiene projects. Currently, it works in areas of family planning, sexual and reproductive health and maternal and newborn health with health systems strengthening at its core. Sr. Social and Behavior Change Communication Officer

The Senior Social Behavior Change Communication (Sr. SBCC) Officer is a key position in the Marketing and Communication Department (MCD) with the responsibility for the development, management and implementation of an integrated behavior change communication program to support the scaling up of the demand and supply of MNH services in program districts. Key activities of this position include designing and implementation of SBCC activities, capacity building of Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) staff, regular field monitoring and supervision of demand generation activities implementation planned under LIPs as well as support in strengthening capacity of health facilities and providers to deliver quality health services through Provider Behavior Change Communication (PBCC) activities. This includes crucial roles such as planning, designing, providing technical support, evaluation, and documentation of SBCC & PBCC activities. He/she works closely with various department of PSI/Nepal and LIP staff at municipality level for timely implementation of program SBCC & PBCC activities.

Experience and Qualification:

Master’s degree with minimum 3 years of professional experience or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of professional experience.
Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, follow up on open items, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication and editing skills in English and Nepal.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, partner organizations, government, and other stakeholders
