Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Counselor - New Zealand to join our Kathmandu branch, providing student counseling services for the New Zealand education pathway. The ideal candidate will guide prospective students through university/institution selection, admissions, and visa processes, while mentoring junior counselors.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert, up-to-date counseling to students regarding New Zealand education pathways, institutions, and courses.
Assess student profiles and recommend suitable universities/colleges and programs based on academic background and career goals.
Guide students through the complete application process — SOPs, LORs, academic documentation, and offer letters.
Advise students on New Zealand student visa requirements, financial documentation, and compliance with immigration regulations.
Stay current with New Zealand Immigration (Immigration New Zealand/INZ) policies, institutional intake changes, and scholarship opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with New Zealand institutions and their representatives.
Mentor and support junior counselors on New Zealand-specific processes.
Meet individual counseling/conversion targets.
Maintain accurate student records and follow-ups using the CRM system.
Conduct/support pre-departure briefings and seminars for outgoing students.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in education counseling, with a focus on New Zealand as a study destination.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand universities, polytechnics, visa rules, and immigration procedures.
Proven track record of successful student placements and visa outcomes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/student management systems.
