Job Description

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Civil Engineering

Responsibilities for Civil Engineer

  • Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
  • Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
  • Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
  • Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
  • Developing detailed designs.
  • Doing feasibility assessments and site inspections.
  • Researching and providing estimates for projects.
  • Reviewing government regulations and ordinances.
  • Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Making recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems.
  • Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors.
  • Project management duties (e.g., managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).
  • Carry out feasibility assessment of the project.  
  • Preparing and implementing project plans.  
  • Stay updated with the new by-laws and suggest implications. 
  • Preparing alternate solutions when required.  
  • Liaising with architects, contractors, sub-contractors, and other necessary parties.  
  • Oversee project design and development. 
  • Preparing site reports.
