Qualification and experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management or similar field with minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Or, minimum Master’s Degree in Management or similar field / relevant Professional Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have independently handled salary processing of a large organization
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Income Tax of individuals
  • Must have experience of operating HRM / Payroll Module in SAP or similar platforms
  • Must have experience of preparing and managing budgets
  • Should have basic understanding of accounting process

Job Description

Department: Human Resources

Section: Country Center of Expertise 

Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements

Main responsibility areas:

  • To ensure regular salary payment including attendance and absence records & other additional payments (allowances, incentives, bonuses, vacation allowance, compensations, overtime etc.), and consider deductions according to company policy and procedures for all employees (Local, Expats & Interns) and manage salary & Home loan EMI transfer to employee’s accounts
  • Ensure correct and timely calculation of Income TAX (Remuneration and other benefit taxes) and manage monthly payment to the Government Authorities. Transfer of Provident Fund (PF) and Citizen Investment Fund (CIT) to the respective fund and reconciliation thereof
  • Calculate, process, disburse and settlement of Employee Loans & Advances in line with laid down policies and guidelines
  • Support in maintaining Employee Master Data, Organization Structure in SAP
  • Run monthly payroll in SAP system
  • Manage Full and Final Settlement of exiting employees as per the laid down processes, guidelines and policies
  • Manage and supervise payroll outsource vendor ensuring completion of agreed activities for smooth, correct and timely processing of payroll
  • Manage local & international auditors relating to Compensation and Benefits for smooth and non-compliance free audit closure and act as a SPOC for all HR related Audit
  • Ensure management of personal file of employees with all the required documents and credential ensuring the same in a good condition
  • Manage analytics related to Compensation and Benefits, and Employment including but not limited to: recruitments, changes in position, promotions, transfers, exits etc. Prepare identified HR Metrics, reconciliation of GL related to payroll with finance records on a monthly basis
  • Prepare HR Budget; manage, assess and control the same; and prepare reports for respective verticals in HR including CHRO
  • Coordinates with SAP and other vendors for all kinds of changes and revision in the SAP systems as and when required
  • Provide awareness sessions related to Employee Self Service in SAP, orientation sessions to new employees, other awareness sessions related to Compensation and Benefits
  • To be up to date with the relevant laws related to Compensation and Benefits, and update all concerned for necessary compliance of the same. Implement all required changes after discussion with relevant authorities
  • Support in all types of employee related payments on behalf of different Committees established in Ncell.
  • Support in documentation of Expats’ relevant visas, Expat’s claim reimbursement, designing remuneration package of new employees and other activities that may be required related to Compensation and Benefits
  • Support in drafting HR related policies/new remuneration package as and when required.
  • Be a single point of contact for all queries related to Compensation and Benefits, and resolve them effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure / prepare all activities related to Compensation and Benefits including letters to employees, tax certification, reconciliation, visa letters etc
