Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Special Education Counselor to join our General Faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and counseling, with the ability to support students with diverse learning needs and provide personalized guidance for their academic and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and provide necessary support.
  • Assist in managing behavior and promoting social and emotional development.
  • Educate and empower students, families, and staff regarding special education resources and strategies.
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive policies and practices.
  • Create a supportive and safe environment for students with special needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with special needs or in a counseling role, preferably in an educational field.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of special education and counseling techniques.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Empathy and patience for working with students with diverse learning needs.
