Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts Incharge to oversee the daily operations of our spare parts department. The ideal candidate will maintain optimal inventory levels, ensure accurate stock records, coordinate with suppliers, and support the service and retail teams by managing parts efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the spare parts department
Maintain optimal inventory levels and accurate stock records
Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and supplies
Issue parts to technicians and service teams based on job requirements
Process parts orders from service, retail, and internal departments
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for orders, returns, and deliveries
Prepare purchase requisitions and follow up on pending orders
Maintain records of stock movement, usage, and adjustments in the system
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and storage of all parts
Prepare and submit inventory reports and performance metrics
Ensure parts are handled according to safety and quality standards
Support audits and compliance with inventory management procedures

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline)
Preferred: Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
Strong knowledge of spare parts and inventory control systems
Familiarity with warehouse or stockroom procedures
Proficiency in inventory management or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret parts manuals, catalogs, and technical documentation
Understanding of stock control methods, reorder levels, and inventory optimization
Familiarity with safety procedures and quality standards for handling parts

Professional Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage stress, prioritize tasks effectively, and work under pressure
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Problem-solving skills and customer service orientation when dealing with service teams or external clients
