Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in solar PV system design, engineering, or installation is preferred.
Knowledge of solar PV technology, system components, and industry standards.
Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), battery technologies (e.g., Lithium-ion), and BESS integration strategies is highly desirable.
Familiarity with solar PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations is an asset.

Job Description

System Design and Engineering:

Assist in the design and engineering of solar PV systems, including those integrated with BESS, considering factors such as grid interaction, energy arbitrage, and backup power.
Participate in site assessment, system sizing, component selection (including battery selection), and performance modeling.
Prepare preliminary engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Support the development of detailed specifications for solar PV and BESS projects.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Project Support:

Assist in the management of the technical aspects of solar and BESS projects.
Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications, considering the specific requirements of BESS integration.
Monitor project progress and identify potential technical issues related to both solar and storage components.
Assist with the troubleshooting of technical problems on site, including issues related to battery management systems and grid integration.

Technical Assistance:

Provide technical support to project teams, clients, and other stakeholders regarding solar PV and BESS technologies.
Research and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in solar PV technology and battery storage systems.
Assist in conducting technical reviews and assessments of solar PV and BESS systems.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze performance data from operating solar PV and BESS systems, including battery cycling and grid interaction data.
Prepare technical reports and presentations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and construction teams.
Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders, including addressing inquiries related to solar and storage solutions.

Other Duties:

Participate in site visits and inspections.
Assist with the development of company standards and procedures, especially related to BESS integration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
