• Job Title: Product Manager for Tax Planning Software Development 

Job Description:

Looking for someone who has taken the software product from start to finish. The Product Manager will lead the development and launch of state-of-the-art tax planning software, ensuring its functionality, usability, and market success. A key responsibility will involve collaborating with an AI team to integrate advanced AI-driven features, making the software smarter and more efficient. The ideal candidate has experience with financial or tax software and a strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications in software development. 

You will have technical, marketing, sales team at your disposal. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Product Strategy and Vision 

• Define the product vision and roadmap, with a focus on tax planning functionality, scalability, and AI-driven innovation. 
• Stay updated on industry trends, tax regulations, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge. 
• Align product goals with business objectives and market needs. 

Development Oversight 

• Work closely with backend and frontend development teams to ensure timely delivery of features. 
• Collaborate with the AI team to design and implement features such as automated tax calculations, predictive analytics, and scenario modeling. 
• Translate complex tax and financial planning needs into detailed requirements for technical teams. 

AI Integration 

• Partner with the AI team to incorporate machine learning and natural language processing capabilities. 
• Identify opportunities where AI can enhance user experience, such as chatbots for real-time tax advice or anomaly detection for tax optimization. 
• Ensure AI features are user-friendly, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. 

Tax Planning Expertise 

• Understand tax planning processes deeply to prioritize the right features and functionalities. 
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate the accuracy and relevance of the software’s tax planning tools. 

User Experience and Feedback 

• Work with UX/UI designers to create an intuitive interface for AI-powered features. 
• Conduct user testing to refine AI tools and ensure they address customer pain points. 
• Gather and analyze feedback to iterate on AI and other software features post-launch. 

Go-to-Market Planning (You will have full sales and marketing team at your disposal) 

• Develop a comprehensive product launch strategy, including training materials for users and promotional campaigns. You will have full sales and marketing team at your disposal. 
• Coordinate with marketing teams to highlight AI capabilities as a competitive advantage. 
• Monitor product performance post-launch and define future AI updates. 

Leadership and Coordination 

• Act as a bridge between the AI team, technical teams, tax experts, and stakeholders. 
• Drive cross-functional team collaboration to meet deadlines and deliver a high-quality product. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, AI, Taxation, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus). 
• 5+ years of experience managing software products, preferably in financial or tax technology. 
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and technologies such as machine learning, NLP, and predictive analytics. 
• Proficient in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com) and AI tools/frameworks. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
• Exceptional communication skills to convey technical and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
