Job Description

Purpose

The major purposes of this position to two-fold. Firstly, to create and conduct awareness, sensitization and training programs across different working areas of For the One in a number of different fields. Secondly, case management of minor girls in our care who are survivors of sexual abuse.

This position includes travel across Nepal and able to discuss sensitive topics with a variety of different people; from individuals and families, to whole communities and government officials. 

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct the community outreach programs
  • Provide assistance in and/or conducting workshops, trainings and local level meetings
  • Monitor impact of the programs and evaluate success of each training/workshops
  • Case Management: 
    a. Completing, collecting and compiling all internal form
    b. Coordinate and proper rapport build up with house mothers and beneficiaries
    c. Conduct/attend case conferences
    d. Facilitate care by coordinating as per the treatment plan
    e. Monitoring and evaluating treatment plans and progress
    f. Facilitate and support to beneficiaries as per their identified needs
    g. Support during the reintegration of the survivor in their family/community
    h. Ensure personnel files are properly maintained and kept confidential
    i. Intervening in crisis
    j. Maintaining thorough case files and prepare monthly narrative and case management reports

  • Provide assistance in market survey and find suitable training job placements for survivors/beneficiaries.
  • Coordinates home studies and family counselling
  • Develop lesson plans as per the community need assessments
  • Advocating for needed services and entitlements
  • Obtaining additional resources. 
  • Liaise with, and make referrals to, other agencies/stakeholders
  • Work with Home Manager to
    a. Appropriate schooling options
    b. School/home/training center visit and recommend concerned steps
    c. Provide necessary support to Safe Home manager

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative work OR +2 with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in administrative work
  • Efficiency using MS packages
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali
  • Report Writing
  • Ability to ride motorbike or scooter (must have license)
