About the project: Plan International is implementing the MCA (Missing Child Alert) - II project in Nepal, Bangladesh and India. The goal of this project is elimination of labour, sex and CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) related trafficking activities in the three neighboring countries and to address the cross border issue through a multi-layered, comprehensive, community based model of support. The MCA-II project’s purpose is to preventing cross border child trafficking and missing children, reducing the likelihood of, and empowering young children and their communities, in the fight against trafficking in persons (TIP) in South Asia region. This project will directly contribute to the achievement of the objectives under ‘protection of vulnerable children’ program.
Purpose:
The position holder will provide be responsible for planning, designing and operationalising the project by ensuring better thematic understanding in the field of child protection, anti-trafficking and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC). S/he will be provided strategic guideline and oversight of the project implementation by Deputy Country Director-Programs and in coordination with respective Program Strategy & Policy and Communication department to ensure implementation of activities as per plan. S/he will closely work with the communications team in order to develop consistent messaging at public and its proper dissemination ensuring the brand elements of Plan International Nepal.
Terms and Location: Fixed term employment till 30 June 2022 based in Country Office, Lalitpur.
