Job Description

About SIWA Project:

LOOM has been thoughtful about women led entrepreneurship since 2012. During our first organizational strategy meeting, women led entrepreneurship was thought about – as a way to sustain activism of women’s group and individuals.

In 2019, LOOM launched SIWA programme. SIWA is a feminist support for women led Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and organisational’s group to sustain their activism by generating ideas or alternative model of funding. Other forms of alternative model of funding is  Philanthropy is a major form of seeking funds for women’s activism that has been adopted around the world, supporting women’s work by potential donors, among others. Women led Community based organisations should not depend and wait for national and international fund to support their activism; instead LOOM believes that they have the agency and power to create those changes for themselves by developing their own models of funding.

Our 18 months feminist collaboration jumpstarts by identifying partner organisations working on advocacy on women’s rights, and entrepreneurship.
