Reports to: Project Engineer
Location: Birtamod, Jhapa, Nepal
Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Position Overview

Roles and Responsibilities

Daily Operation

• Preparing construction schedules and estimating the costs of projects using engineering software such as AutoCAD and Excel.
• Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects as per the requirement.
• Inspecting construction sites to ensure that work is being done according to plans and specifications.
• Monitoring construction projects to ensure that they are proceeding according to schedule and within budget parameters.
• Assisting in conducting feasibility studies and creating designs for new projects using computer modelling software.
• Assisting in reviewing proposals from contractors for compliance with the province and local building codes.
• Suggest improvements to designs and processes.
• Research for material required for the site.
• Compile and present reports to the supervisor and other team members.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities.
• Collaborate with the Site Supervisor for inventory management.
• Coordinating with supervisors and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time.
• Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Task Related

• Diploma in civil engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of prior experience
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design

• Ability to provide quick solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Must be self-motivated and a great team worker
• Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies
• A 2-wheeler license is a must
