Job Description

  • Planning, coordinating, and providing advice and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects
  • Act as the main technical advisor on a construction site and ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, project manager and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Plan the work and efficiently organize the site in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Oversee the quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at the site
  • Undertaking necessary surveys
  • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork.
  • Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
  • Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency and implementation to those improvements
