Job Description

Planning, coordinating, and providing advice and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects
Act as the main technical advisor on a construction site and ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, project manager and the general workforce involved in the project
Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
Plan the work and efficiently organize the site in order to meet agreed deadlines
Oversee the quality control and health and safety matters on site.
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at the site
Undertaking necessary surveys
Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork.
Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency and implementation to those improvements
