Kharel Law Group is an Australian-based legal practice operating under the brand Emigrate Lawyers, specialising in Australian migration law, family law, and related legal services. Our Kathmandu office, Emigrate Consultants, supports Australian legal operations through digital marketing, SEO strategy, content optimisation, and lead generation. Emigrate Lawyers is led by award winning Nepali Australian lawyer Mr Madhab Kharel.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced SEO Expert to lead and execute search engine optimisation strategies for our Australian legal and consultancy websites. This role is critical to increasing organic traffic, improving keyword rankings, and supporting business growth through data-driven digital marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies for Australian-focused legal and consultancy websites.
Conduct keyword research targeting migration law, family law, protection visas, partner visas, and education consultancy.
Optimise on-page SEO including meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal linking, and content structure.
Work closely with content writers to ensure SEO best practices are applied across all content.
Manage technical SEO including site speed, indexing, crawlability, schema, and mobile optimisation.
Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms.
Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and prepare regular performance reports.
Identify and implement backlink and authority-building strategies.
Optimise Google Business Profiles and local SEO for Australian locations.
Stay updated with Google algorithm changes and SEO trends.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or Digital Marketing Expert.
Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Experience with SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog).
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
IELTS score of 6.0 or above (or equivalent English proficiency).
Ability to work with content, development, and marketing teams.
