Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) is now implementing 5-year project named JNS Agriculture Promotion Project in Nepal (APPIN) funded by Japan Nepal Society (JNS), Tokyo. The project aims to increase the income of community people by encouraging the production and marketing of high-quality vegetables and fruits, thereby promoting business and industrialization of the agriculture sector. We are looking for the following position to successfully implement APPIN.

Job Description

Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) is now implementing 5-year project named JNS Agriculture Promotion Project in Nepal (APPIN) funded by Japan Nepal Society (JNS), Tokyo. The project aims to increase the income of community people by encouraging the production and marketing of high-quality vegetables and fruits, thereby promoting business and industrialization of the agriculture sector. 

The position holder will be responsible for the following: 

  • Support Project Manager and Team Leader to develop detailed implementation plan of APPIN project
  • Support and facilitate community mobilizer and community during target group identification.
  • Regular field visit to provide technical assistance and backstopping to beneficiaries.
  • Support Project Manager to compile and document database of beneficiaries and develop case studies and success stories of beneficiaries.
  • Prepare periodic field working plan and report to Project Manager and Team Leader
  • Facilitate training, workshops and orientation program.
  • Ensure high quality vegetables and fruits production and marketing and income generation of the beneficiaries in the project sites as per the project objectives
  • Supervise Marketing Supervisor and Social Mobilizers works and guide them to get the result as per the objectives of the project
  • Establish good linkage and coordination with local government, concerned line agencies and stakeholders
  • Develop strong linkage and coordination with municipalities and service center of the line agencies of the assigned locations and create synergy
  • Other work as assigned by the Project Manager and Team Leader
