About this role

We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our QA function who will oversee all aspects of software quality assurance. You’ll champion and incorporate test automation into our software development practices, and develop new tools and processes to measure and improve code quality. The Senior Test Engineer will be a critical part of the product development team who’ll improve our ability to ship features consistently and reliably.

What you’ll do

• Set up, maintain and perform manual and automated tests across various platform domains
• Build effective test strategies for frontend and backend APIs, services and infrastructure
• Evangelize and incorporate best practices to improve code quality and delivery performance
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments
• Organise and design deployment strategy
• Document and track of defects for triage
• Support UAT effort
• Product and business awareness to improve features for testability
• Work with front-end, back-end, and data services teams to deliver high quality product releases on time
• Write Jest and Enzyme based tests for modern reactive application
• Visual/CSS regression testing
• Setup automated tests through selenium, phantomjs, nightmare, or other software
• Snapshot testing for design specifics on applications or websites
• Write unit and end-to-end tests to ensure that all applications are working properly
• Integrate testing with deployment pipelines

What you’ll need

• 5+ years experience with software driven testing solution
• Experience with our technology stack
• Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems
• Extensive experience with modern javascript frameworks
• Coordinate product releases by building a deployment plan
• You know your art top to bottom – teach us how to effectively perform unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing
• Experience with test-automation frameworks like Selenium, PhantomJS, Nightmare, etc.
• Experience with popular testing libraries like Jest, Enzyme, mocha, nose, pytest, etc.
• Provide technical mentorship to aspiring minds
• Desire to be a part of something BIG – bigger than yourself!
• Bonus/nice-to-have: prior experience with SaaS product(s)
